D. Walton Saw Inc.

D. Walton Saw Inc., traces its history back over 50 years ago when company President Darren Walton's father, Harold, started Marin Saw Works out of the back of his 1954 Dodge pickup serving Marin County. Harold changed the name of his business to Walton Saw Works in 1955 beginning the tradition of quality saw reconditioning. As the business grew, it became well known locally for its sale and service of fine woodworking tools, knives, router bits and, of course, saw blades.

D. Walton Saw President, Darren Walton, began Farallon Industrial Knife in 1989, servicing the paper and printing industries of Northern California. Business was very good and Darren branched out into other areas of tool sharpening and purchased Santa Rosa Tool's Saw Division to fulfill his customer's needs. By 1997, Harold Walton began to consider retirement, and Darren purchased Walton Saw Works. Thus began D. Walton Saw Inc. Harold continues to come in and help to this day, when his golf schedule permits, lending his life-long experience and knowledge to the business. But the growth was not over yet.

In 2000, the opportunity to grow further became a reality when D. Walton Saw purchased East Bay Saw and Knife. The well-respected company formed in 1928 provided similar services as D. Walton Saw Inc. in addition to its servicing of the food processing industry. It was bought by George Roth in 1973 and remains in its original location in Oakland. George's son Ralph pursued his apprenticeship there, and remains today as division director; East Bay Saw and Knife, for D. Walton Saw Inc. But the growth was not over yet!

In 2002, D. Walton Saw purchased Petaluma Precision Grinding. Petaluma Precision Grinding was another high quality saw resharpening company that serviced the Northern Bay Area. The acquisition brought more knowledge and technology to the company, giving D. Walton Saw a decided difference over its competion in the Bay Area. But the growth was not over yet!

In 2003, D. Walton Saw purchased Bits n Blades, a company specializing in sales and service of router bits and saw blades. Once again, the benefit of knowledge and resources came to the company, benefiting customers of D. Walton Saw Inc. But the growth was not over yet!

Today, D. Walton Saw Inc., now covers Northern California and beyond with its sales and service expertise. Doing business as Farallon Industrial Knife and East Bay Saw and Knife as well as its internet presence with its Bitsnblades.com and 18004aknife web sites, D. Walton Saw covers the needs of both businesses and individuals. Our customer base now comes from as far as Hawaii to the west, Nevada to the east, and north to Alaska.
